Bunbury Community Radio Bunbury Community Radio

Bunbury Community Radio in its present form is a community based Steering Committee organised to establish a Community Radio Station for the Bunbury Region.

The steering committee was formed at a meeting held at the Bunbury City Council Building on the 30th of March 2011.  CR Wayne Major proposed the idea of having a community radio station for the Bunbury Region and at the meeting he was elected Chairman.

There are currently 11 members on the committee and a number of other professionals in different fields of expertise not on the committee but who are committed to offer their services to help us set up.
If you would like to become a committee member or offer your services as a volunteer or a radio announcer (once we are broadcasting) please

Collie Community Radio

Collie Community Radio Collie Community Radio 1089am "The Voice Of Our Town"

Collie Community Radio 1089am has been officially on the air since December, 2006. A committee was formed in June, 2005, to try to get a local radio station for Collie, as the only programmes which could be picked up were either from Bunbury on the coast, Wagin inland (ABC) or at night, on relay from Queensland.

With a big component of the local workforce working shifts, we saw a pressing need for local voices to put local programmers to air, promoting local events and functions, highlighting local issues and giving coverage to local sport.
